Offering therapy to adolescents, young adults, and families.

Therapy doesn’t have to be as formal and stuffy as it has been portrayed on TV. It can be playful. It can be fun. It can be funny.

Adolescence to early adulthood can be  a confusing and overwhelming time in an individual’s development, but it’s a time with potential for powerful growth and healing. Your teen or young adult may be navigating sexual preferences, gender identity, romantic and peer relationships, school, online interactions, substance use and much more.  They may be suffering from discrimination or bullying. Often these experiences can result in anxiety, depression, gender dysphoria, anger, isolation, self injury, shame, body image issues, lack of focus/motivation or substance use.  The current pandemic has made  this journey even more complicated as we try to come to terms with what our “new normal” looks like. We have had a lot of time on our hands to think about who we are, who we want to become, and how we want to get there.

As a parent, you want your kid to  feel comfortable in their own skin; to learn ways to accept themselves and to thrive on whatever path they choose. You want them to build relationships based on mutual respect; to gain confidence in their own unique abilities and to communicate their needs and emotions in healthy ways.

My hope is to walk beside your teen/young adult and support them on this journey. Over the last decade, I have provided individual and family therapy  to adolescents, young adults, and families as they work to figure out their place in this increasingly complicated world. I am passionate about working with the LGBTQIA community. I use a variety of integrated modalities in my practice including expressive arts, mind/ body approaches, and traditional talk therapy. There are many therapeutic approaches and we will work together to figure out what is helpful.  I offer a free 20 minute session to explore therapeutic goals and discuss how we might work together to help you/your teen  achieve those goals.

Hi, I’m Becca. Thank you for considering me as your therapist. I work best with individuals aged 10-25 who are struggling with depression, anxiety, identity issues, anger, relationships, or difficulties with school.
